Funding Success

We are delighted to announce that we have secured funding from the People's Health Trust 'Active Communities' fund to support 'Crook Games Club ', our free to access youth provision for young people.

The funding will ensure that we are still here for young people for the next 2 years, providing a popular weekly activity that we launched in 2020 as a way to support young people to have social activities with their peers during the pandemic. This funding will enable us to continue our regular weekly sessions, with young people taking a lead on organising termly trips and an annual youth residential as part of the project.

'Active Communities' supports people to create and shape local projects that will help their community or neighbourhood to become even better. Active Communities projects aim to develop social links and ties and support residents to discuss and act on things that are important to them.

People's Health Trust is an independent charity investing in local neighbourhoods to help create a society without health inequalities. It works closely with each of the regional and country lotteries raising money through The Health Lottery, and distributes grants.

Crook Games Club is a very popular session for young people ages 11-19 years taking place on Wednesday evenings 6pm til 8.30pm. If you are interested in attending please email jamesb@jackdrum.co.uk
