BFI Film Academy 2020

Are you aged 16-19 years, passionate about film, and want to pursue a career in the film industry?

The BFI Academy is a fantastic 8-day program designed to give young people a chance to produce short films using industry-standard practices and professional equipment.

A fantastic addition to any CV or Personal Statement, the course demonstrates planning and communication skills and the commitment to follow through on a project. At the end of the project, you will have a high-quality short film to add to your portfolio and showcase to universities.

Our academy is delivered by a team of professional filmmakers and sound designers with guest industry speakers and masterclasses in scriptwriting and animation. No matter your interest or previous experience every participant will have the chance to dip their toes into all aspects of filmmaking and dive deep into the areas of their passion, with our accomplished team on hand for career advice. In tandem with the course, you will work towards achieving your Bronze Level Arts Award, provided by Trinity College London and recognised nationally.
