Jack Drum Ukulele Ensemble
Here’s what being a part of the Jack Drum Ukulele Ensemble means to some of our participants.
“We’re really enjoying the sessions. It’s good to take us out of our comfort zone in learning new chords, strumming patterns etc.”
“What joy! Bringing together a magnificent bunch of people, sharing songs and laughter. What more would you want?!”
“Last 2 friday’s I’ve played on stage. I didn’t think I would do anything like that, and I found it Fantastic!”

Jack Drum Ukulele Ensemble is a legacy project of our Sound Out Music project for carers and is currently funded through donations and members subscriptions.
Jack Drum Ukulele Ensemble is an inclusive community music group, which meets on Saturday mornings during term time to play and sing an ever-growing repertoire of songs. The combined musical interests of the group ensures that there is something for everyone in each session, and our co-creative delivery model means all participants are part of the process.
Bring your requests for new songs to add to the repertoire, learn new chords, strumming patterns and picking techniques, and play a wide range of genres of music together with other local Ukulele enthusiasts.
Each year we play regular public performances at local events, care homes, and private parties.
Suitable for beginners and experienced players alike, so please get in touch if you are interested in joining!
